IIT-JEE, AIEEE plus other engineering entrance examinations will be replaced by a new examination called Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test or ISEET.

Which are the institutes that are going to accept ISEET score?
  • 15 Indian institutes of Technology (IITs), IT-BHU, & IS-Dhanbad
  • 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
  • 5 Indian institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
  • 6 Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISERs).
  • Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST).
  • Indian Institute of Science (IISc) – (only BS Course/Programme)
  • 3 Indian Statistical Institutes (ISIs).
  • Several other Govt./centrally-funded institutions.
  • Some pvt. Colleges/universities at National level. (may be)
  • Hundreds of State Govt. funded/controlled colleges in various states.

ISEET will have two papers on the same day:

ISEET Main:
  • Duration of ISEET Main – 3 hours
  • Paper-Test Pattern of ISEET Main – Areas Tested at ISEET:
  • Reading Comprehension & Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning
  • Weight-age to ISEET Main: 30% minimum
ISEET Advance:

  • Duration of ISEET Advance3 hours.
  • Paper-Test Pattern of ISEET Main – Areas Tested at ISEET:
  • Problem Solving Ability in Basic Science Subjects (Phy, Chem, Maths)
  • Weightage for ISEET Advance: 30% minimum
The questions papers will be of objective pattern.

ISEET Main will be an objective type exam, and will test comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning.

ISEET Advance will test problem-solving ability in basic science subjects.

The two tests ISEET Main and ISEET Advance together will indicate a candidate’s scholastic level and aptitude for science and engineering.

What will be the "Admission policy"?
  • Class 12th score (not less than 40% weight)  + ISEET score(Main 30% + Advanced 30%)
  • Board + State governments will set the weights (normalized percentile will be computed for different boards)
What will be the syllabus for ISEET?
Most probably it will be based on AIEEE syllabus or NCERT books.
