Q1: What problem did the villagers in Hardas village face? What did they do to solve this problem?

Answer: Water problem had become very acute. The water level has gone further below the point, up to which the ground has been drilled. There is no water in the taps. Women have to walk 3 Km to get the water from the Suru river. They were planning for watershed development. 


Q2: What, in your opinion, is the importance of the Gram Sabha? Do you think all members should attend Gram Sabha meetings? Why?

Answer: Gram Sabha is of great importance, viz

 1. They elect the gram panchayat members. 

 2. The elected members keep a check on the activities of gram panchayat, 

 3. The members ensure that funds are utilised in the right way.

 4. The Gram Sabha ensures that all problems and solutions are discussed and solved in the right manner and at the right time.

All members should attend the meetings. If not, the few people will not be able to find any solutions for the problems. When all the members are present, any wrong decisions can be avoided and all problems are taken care of.

On June 24, 1859, Emperors Napoleon III and Franz Joseph I were engaged in the Battle of Solferino,
commanding a combined total of about 270,000 troops onto the field for a single day of battle. Nearly 40,000 were either dead, injured, or missing and many of them were simply left to die on the battlefield. Later, spectators crowded the fields, looking for loved ones, searching for items they could sell, or for simply taking in the horrors of the battle. 1. Swedish botanist Carolus Linnaeus established binomial nomenclature. 

2. Caper Bauhin expressed proposed binomial nomenclature for the first time 

3. In binomial nomenclature, the first word is a generic name having first letter capital and second word is a  specific epithet having first letter. e.g.  Homo sapiens, Mangifera indica

4. After end of biological name, the name of author is written in abbreviated form who gave the name to that organism.

5. Both the words of a biological name when handwritten are separately underlined and when printed are typed in italics to indicate their Latin origin and also give respect to the name.
