Answer: The earth undergoes geological changes due to which molten rocks formed in deeper regions of the earth crust pushed upwards. These regions where heat and steam are trapped are called hot spots.


Q18(2014): A charge of 150 C flows through a wire for a minute. Find the current flowing through it.

Answer: Charge Q = 150 C, Time t = 1 minute = 60 secs. Current I = Q/t = 150/60 = 2.5 A


Q19(2014):  Why dry HCl gas does not turn dry blue litmus paper red?

Answer: Because dry HCl gas does not ionize into H+ ions.


Q20(2014): What type of chemical reactions takes place in the digestion of food in the stomach?

Answer: Complex food is broken simpler form. It is a decomposition reaction.
