Here are 102 sentences in different tense forms. These will help you revise transforming active voice to passive voice (or vice versa).

Change the following sentences into passive voice.


Present Indefinite Tense

I like this bike.
He does not fly kites.
Madhurima sings a song.
Do you love him?
Does she know you?
What do they want?
When do you see movies?
Who advises you?  
     

Answers:
This bike is liked by me.
Kites are not flown by him.

A song is sung by Madhurima.
Is he loved by you?
Are you known to her?
What is wanted by them?
When are movies seen by you?
By whom are you advised?  


Present Continuous Tense

Akansha is writing a poem.
Children are catching butterflies.
You are not speaking the reality.
Is she helping them?
Is she not helping you?
Which suit are you buying?
Why are you telling lie?


Answers:
A poem is being written by Akansha.
Butterflies are being caught by children.
The reality is not being spoken by you.
Are they being helped by her?
Are you not being helped by her?
Which suit is being bought by you?
Why are lies being told by you?


     
Present Perfect Tense


Abha has taken my notebook.
She has not solved the sums.
Has he returned your brush?
Have you not met him?
Who has finished it?
Where have you kept the packs?
What have they bought?
When has she helped us?

Answers:
My notebook has been taken by Abha.
The sums have not been solved by her.
Has your brush been returned by him ?
Has he not been met by you?
By whom has it been finished?
Where have the packs been kept by you?
What has been bought by them?
When have we been helped by her?

   

Past Indefinite Tense

I took tea yesterday.
He refused me.
I did not call them.
My conduct surprised him.
What did Divij buy?
Who taught you French?
Which show did you see last night?
Who cursed Ahilya?

Answers:

Tea was taken by me yesterday.
I was refused by him. / Permission to me was refused by him.
They were not called me.
He was surprised at my conduct.
What was bought by Divij?
By whom were you taught French?
Which show was seen by you last night?
By whom was Ahilya cursed?


Past Continuous Tense

Madonna was singing a sweet song.
The cat was drinking milk.
Was he taking juice?
He was not telling the truth.
Why were they laughing at you?
They were developing a film when I arrived.
What were you writing?
Whom were you scolding?

Answers:

Sweet song was being sung by Madonna.
Milk was being drunk by the cat.
Was juice been taken by him?
The truth was not being told by him.
Why were you being laughed at by them?
A film was being developed when arrived.
What was being written by you?
Who was being scolded by you?


Past Perfect Tense

She had not seen a yak before.
They had developed fifty films by that year.
We had not expected you at that time.
Had Mukesh finish the painting when you reached his house?
Had she not ironed her clothes?
How had he known that?
Where had she hidden her keys?


Answers:

A yak had not been seen by her before.
Fifty films had been developed by that year.
You had not been expected by us at that time.
Had the painting been finished by Mukesh when you reached his house?
Had her clothes not been ironed by her?
How had that been known to him?
Where had her keys been hidden by her?


Future Indefinite Tense

We shall help the poor man.
He will not write two letters.
They will build a wall.
Will she attend the meeting?
Will you not teach her?
Who will pay the price?
When will you return my money?

Answers:

The poor man will be helped by us.
Two letters will not be written by him.
A wall will be built by them.
Will the meeting be attended by her?
Will she not be taught by her?
By whom will the price be paid?
When will my money be returned by you?


Future Perfect Tense

We will have finished this project by now.
She will have cooked the meal.
You will have won the match.
Will you have written a letter?
They will have considered the proposal.
Police will have chased the thieves.
Shall I not have scolded him?
Who will have admonished you?

Answers:

This project will have been finished by us by now.
The meal will have been cooked by her.
The match will have been won by you.
Will a letter have been written by you?
The proposal will have been considered by them.
The thieves will have been chased by the police.
Will he not have been scolded by me?
By whom will you have been admonished?


Imperative Sentences

Shut the door.
Make tea at once.
Do not oppress the poor.
Please take him to the library.
Be off my sight.
Work hard.
Do not smoke.
Let her go out for a walk.
Let Manoj sing.


Answers:

Let the door be shut.
Let tea be made at once.
Let the poor not be oppressed.
You are requested to take him to the library.
You are ordered to be off my sight.
You are advised to work hard.
Smoking is prohibited.
It is suggested that she should go out for a walk.
It is proposed that Manoj should sing.


Verbs Followed By Modals

I can write this letter.
You should not waste your time.
Would you return my camera?
May I help her?
Who will solve these sums?
They must develop the film by 4pm.


Answers:

This letter can be written by me.
Your time should not be wasted by you.
Would my camera be returned by you?
May she be helped by me?
By whom will these sums be solved?
The film must be developed by 4pm.


'BY' is not used

Some passive voice sentences use  propositions other than 'by'

I know Monica.
Her death shocked us.
My behaviour surprised him.
Social work interests me.
Your work has satisfied us.
He obliged the visitors.
Grass grew over the playground
This bottle contains acidic solution.


Answers:

Monica is known to me.
We were shocked at her death.
He was surprised at my behaviour.
I am interested in the social work.
We have been satisfied with your work.
The visitors were obliged to him.
The playground was over grown with grass.
The acidic solution is contained in the bottle.



Two objects of the Verb

Some transitive verbs take two objects. One of them maybe put as subject and the other is retained by changing from active to passive voice

Tanuj gave me a book.
Mr Madhukar taught us French.
She wrote a letter to him.
He offered her a ring.


Answers:

A book was given to me by Tanuj.
Or
I was given a book by Tanuj.
We were taught French by Mr Madhukar.
Or
French was talk to us by Mr Madhukar.
A letter was written to him by her.
Or
He was written a letter by her.
A ring was offered to her by him.
Or
She was offered a ring by him.


Prepositional sentences

Some verbs take preposition after them. While changing the voice, the preposition should be retained.

A truck ran over a girl.
Preeti spoke to me.
People believe in such superstitions.
I didn't wonder at my success.
She agreed to my suggestion.
He will accede to my request.
They are laughing at me.


Answers:

A girl was run over by a truck.
I was spoken to by Preeti.
Search superstitions are believed in by people.
My success was not wondered at by me.
My suggestion was agreed to by her.
My request will be acceded To by him.
I am being laughed at by them.




Infinitive Verbs   

At times the change of voice takes place only in the infinitive

It is time to exchange gifts.
You have to complete it.
We ought to respect our seniors.
A pen is to write with.
We like to play.


Answers:

It is time for the gifts to be exchanged.
It has to be completed by you.
Our seniors ought to be respected.
Something is to be written with a pen.
To play is liked by us.


Conditionals

They would write a story, if they had time.
If you ask me, I will do it.  


Answers:
A would be written, if they had time.
If I am asked, it will be done.
