Revenge

Sasikala out, nephew vows revenge

meaning: harm done to someone in return for an injury suffered at his/her hands (बदला)


Examples:
1. This movie is about a woman who took revenge on her unfaithful husband.
2.  After the loss, he demanded that he be given his revenge.




To vow

meaning:  swear oath, to pledge ( क़सम खाना, प्रतिज्ञा करना)

Examples:
1. After a painful divorce, she vowed never to marry.
2. Having being cured by a saint, she vowed to devote her life to his services.

meaning: dress up, fancy up, put on special clothes to appear particularly appealing and attractive (बढिया दिखना )

Examples:

meaning: to make an opening in a wall or fence, (भेद देना, सेंध करना)

Examples:

meaning: steady look (टकटकी,  निगाह ,  अवलोकन )

Examples:

2. He lowered the newspaper and his steady gaze met hers.
