Economic development refers to a sustained increase in the income of the people of a region that promotes economic welfare by reducing poverty of inequalities of income and wealth.

Based on CBSE syllabus for Class 10, The part-2 video covers questions and answers based on NCERT chapter of Economics - Development.

Question 14: Kerela, with low per capita, has better human development ranking than Punjab. Hence per capita income is not a useful criterion at all and should not be used to compare states. Do you agree?
