Q1: What is meant by ‘efficiency’ in management?

Answer: Efficiency means doing the task correctly and with minimum cost.


Q2: How does management help in achieving personal objectives? State.

Answer: Management helps in achieving personal objectives by motivating and leading in such a way that the individual members are able to achieve personal goals while contributing to the overall organisational objectives.


Q3: Define ‘ planning premises’.

Answer: Planning premises are the assumptions made about the future on the basis of which the plans are drawn.


Q4: Alliance Ltd. is engaged in manufacturing plastic buckets. The objective of the company is to manufacture 100 buckets a day. To achieve this, the efforts of all departments are co-ordinated and interlinked and authority- responsibility relationship is established among various job positions. There is clarity on who is to report to whom.
