  • 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
  • 5 Indian institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
  • 6 Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISERs).

Test pattern for ISEET
ISEET will have two papers on the same day:

ISEET Main:
  • Duration of ISEET Main – 3 hours
  • Paper-Test Pattern of ISEET Main – Areas Tested at ISEET:
  • Reading Comprehension & Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning
  • Weight-age to ISEET Main: 30% minimum
ISEET Advance:

  • Duration of ISEET Advance3 hours.
  • Paper-Test Pattern of ISEET Main – Areas Tested at ISEET:
  • Problem Solving Ability in Basic Science Subjects (Phy, Chem, Maths)
  • Weightage for ISEET Advance: 30% minimum
The questions papers will be of objective pattern.

ISEET Main will be an objective type exam, and will test comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning.

ISEET Advance will test problem-solving ability in basic science subjects.

The two tests ISEET Main and ISEET Advance together will indicate a candidate’s scholastic level and aptitude for science and engineering.

What will be the "Admission policy"?
  • Class 12th score (not less than 40% weight)  + ISEET score(Main 30% + Advanced 30%)
  • Board + State governments will set the weights (normalized percentile will be computed for different boards)

  1. I am in support of this common entrance examination but not in favor of the using 12th examination board exams percentage to calculate the final rank and marks.
