What is Book-Keeping?

Book‐Keeping is a systematic manner of recording transactions related to business in the books of accounts. In Book‐Keeping, transactions are recorded in the order of the dates. An Accountant is a person who records the transactions in the books of the business and is expected to show the financial results of a business for every financial year. A financial year in India is followed from 1st  April to 31st  March.

According to J. R. Batliboi
"Book‐Keeping is an art of recording business dealings in a set of books." 
According to R.N  Carter:
"Book‐Keeping  is  an  art  of  recording  in  the  books  of  accounts,  all  those  business  transactions  that  result in transfer of money’s worth" 

In book keeping, financial transactions are recorded in a set of books. It is the first stage of maintaining accounts and as such it cannot give any conclusions about the performance of business.

Answer: It represents potential difference.

Answer: W=QV=2×1=2J

Q3: Why are copper wires used as connecting wires? 

Answer: The electrical resistivity of copper is low

Q4: A wire of resistivity 10 ohm meter is stretched to double its length. What is its new resistivity? 

Answer: It remains same because resistivity depends on nature of material.


Q5: What is the resistance of connecting wire? 

Answer: The resistance of a connecting wire, which is made of good conductor, is negligible.

देश के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति राजेंद्र प्रसाद सादगी और ईमानदारी के लिए शुरु से विख्यात थे। स्वतंत्रता आदोलन के दौरान गाँधीजी ने उन्ह मीडिया प्रभारी बनाया। कांग्रेस की गतिविधियों की कौन सी खबर प्रकाशित होनी है कौन सी नहीं इसका निर्णय राजेंद्र बावू को करना होता था। वह अखवार में खबरें भी खुद ही पहुँचाते थे। एक बार वह इलाहाबाद के लीडर प्रेस गए। उस समय लीडर प्रेस के संपादक सी॰ वाई. चिंतामणि थे। उनकी राजेंद्र बाबू से गहरी दोस्ती थी। जब राजेंद्र बाबू प्रेस पहुंचे तो गेट पर बैठे चपरासी ने कहा, 'इस समय आप उनसे नहीं मिल सकते। उनके पास कई नेता बैठे हुए हैं। आपको इतज्ञार करना पडेगा।' राजेंद्र बाबू ने अपना कार्ड उसे देते हुए, कहा, 'ठीक है, यह उनें दे दो। जब वह खाली हो जाएँ तो वह मुझे बुला लेगें।

For example, The set of all odd natural numbers divisible by 2 is an empty set because odd natural numbers are not divisible by 2.

Finite Set: 
A set which contains finite number of elements is called a finite set.
For example, The set {x: x ∈  N and x ≤ 10} is a finite set because number of elements in the set are countable.
