Machine learning focuses on selecting the right features to create effective models for specific tasks. Machine learning helps us create models that solve specific tasks by learning from data. To build effective models, it is important to select the right features (important pieces of information from the data).

There are three main types of learning models:

Logical Models: 

Use logical rules and expressions to make decisions.

Example: If a fruit is red and round, it might be classified as an apple.

Geometric Models: 

Focus on the geometry (shape) of the data. These models divide the data into regions based on similarities.

Example: Finding a boundary to separate cats and dogs based on their features.

Probabilistic Models: 

Use probability to classify or predict outcomes.

Example: Deciding the weather tomorrow based on a 70% chance of rain.

For any given problem, the set of all possible outcomes forms the sample space or instance space.
