Question 1: What do you understand by people as a resource?

Answer: People as a resource refers to a country is working for population in terms of their existing productive skills and abilities.

It is the human resource which converts all other resources like land, capital, natural resources etc. into useful products.

This human resource contributes to the creation of a gross national product(GNP).



Question 2: What is human capital formation?

Answer:
When the existing human resource is further developed by becoming more educated and healthy. It is termed as human capital formation.

It acts to the productive capacity of the country as educated, trained and healthy people earn higher incomes.

आशय स्पष्ट कीजिए:

1.जैसे वायु की लहरें कटी हुई पतंग को सहसा भूमि पर नहीं गिर जाने देतीं उसी तरह खास परिस्थितियों में हमारी पोशाक हमें झुक सकने से रोके रहती है।

उत्तर:
जैसे पतंग डोर से बंधी रहती है, डोर से ही उसे आगे पीछे किया जा सकता है| जब पतंग डोर से अलग हो जाती है, तो हवा के कारण अचानक धरती पर नहीं आती और कुछ समय हवा में ही रहती है| इसी प्रकार समाज में जब मनुष्य अपनी शिक्षा और संवेदना के विकास के दौर से अलग होता है, तब भी समाज की हवा यानी पोशाक आदि के बाहरी दिखावे के कारण वह तत्काल गरीब आदमी से जुड़ नहीं पाता| लेखक भी झुककर गरीब वर्ग के साथ मिलना-जुलना चाहता है, परंतु उसकी पोशाक उसके विचार व व्यवहार में बाधा बनती है| यहाँ लेखक ने पोशाक की तुलना वायु की लहरों से की है।
