ARYABHAT – THE MATHEMATICIAN AND ASTRONOMER

Life Profile:

One of the Indian mathematicians of ancient times about which some definite information is available is Aryabhat (also called Aryabhata I ).  He was born in 476 AD in Kusumpura (now Patna) in Bihar. Aryabhata wrote many mathematical and astronomical treatise and one of his famous compilation on Mathematics and Astronomy is called Aryabhattiya. He died in 550AD

OBJECTIVE:

To verify the distance formula by graphical method.

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

Cardboard, chart paper, graph paper, glue, pen/pencil and ruler.

METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION

1. Paste a chart paper on a cardboard of a convenient size.

2. Paste the graph paper on the chart paper.

3. Draw the axes X'OX and Y'OY on the graph paper.

4. Take two points A(a, b) and B(c,d) on the graph paper and join them to get a line segment AB [see Figure].

जिन शब्दों से किसी कार्य के होने या करने का (बोध) होता हो, तो उसे क्रिया कहते हैं । जैसे

- खाना, पीना, गाना , रहना, जाना आदि |

घातु - क्रिया का मूल रूप धातु कहलाता है। जैसे-लिख, पढ़, जा, खा, गा, रो, पा आदि। इन्हीं घातुओं से लिखता, पढ़ता, आदि क्रियाएँ बनाई जाती है |

कर्म के आधार पर क्रिया के दो प्रकार के भेद होते हैं -

1. अकर्मक क्रिया

2. सकर्मक क्रिया

1. अकर्मक क्रिया- 

अकर्मक क्रिया के साथ कमी भी कर्म का (बोध) नहीं होता तथा उसका प्रभाव कर्ता पर पढ़ता है|

उदाहरण -  मनोज गाता है |

(कर्म का अभाव है तथा गाता है क्रिया का प्रभाव मनोज पर पड़ता है। )

Answer:

① It guides and helps the subordinates to complete the given task properly and as per the schedule.

② It provides the necessary motivation to subordinates to complete the work satisfactorily and strive to do them best.

③  It helps in maintaining discipline and rewarding them who do well. 

④  Directing involves supervision, which is essential to make sure that work is performed according to the orders and instructions.
